God's Will?

Then this was written a couple months after graduation

So I feel like everyone is always stressing out over what God’s will for our lives are. We think we need to have it all figured out. Its definitely not something I have figured out. As I went through senior year of college, there was a ton of pressure to have it all figured out and know exactly what I was doing after graduation. Well graduation was 2.5 months ago and I have no idea what i’m doing next week. I still dont even really know what I want to be doing. I feel like a lot of people are in that situation where you know God has a plan for your life and its far better than you could imagine. But you have no idea what that is. You know you want to serve God, but you really aren’t sure how. Thats where I’ve been for the past...well, forever.
I know everyone has heard Jeremiah 29:11. But no one really looks at the next couple verses:

“12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,"

Seek Me and You will find me. YOU WILL FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART.

But what does that mean? Seek God. Follow Him, trust in Him, give it all to him. Sounds cliche right? nope. I think these are the things we cant hear enough because we forget them so easily. I googled “How to seek God” haha and this is what I came up with:

“Acknowledge Him, talk to Him, praise Him, and ask Him for help and guidance. As you are getting ready for work, thank God for all that He has given you. Thank Him for everything going smoothly and for good traffic so you make it to work on time and being calm and peaceful when you get there.
At work, thank Him for your job. It may not be the perfect job, but thank Him for it anyway and do your best job. If you run into a problem, instead of complaining and worrying, say "God, you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Help me Lord to know what to do in this situation."
God is always talking to us, but we are not always listening. When we do listen, many times we do not do what He says. So, we need to listen and obey, all day long.”
I promise if you do these things and truly, truly seek God and pray for guidance, little by little, He’ll give you clues where to go.
I once heard that your calling is where your greatest passions meets the world’s greatest needs. This is also where you find the most joy.
Example:
I love kids. I love singing. I love meeting new people and making them happy. There is a need for Urban ministry... maybe thats where my calling is. I really dont know...but its an idea.
My mom loves numbers and helping people. The world needs good, honest accountants....So thats where she found part of her calling. And she finds so much joy in that.
So I guess my encouragement is just seek God and know that He is soverign. He has a plan, his plan is good and he’s currently doing things in your life to prepare you for that plan.
The bridge of my favorite worship song defines exactly what I think it means to truly seek God:
“Heal my heart and make it clean. Open up my eyes to the things unseen. Show me how to love like you have loved me. Break my heart for what breaks yours. Everything I am for Your Kingdom’s cause. As I walk from earth into eternity.”
So meditate on that and live seeking God.
