Life
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. This life I live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God. For if righteousness could be gained through the law, then Christ died in vain." - Galatians 2:20-21
Life is precious.
It is not something to be taken for granted. I know we've heard this so many times. but I think we take that for granted too. I've been so convicted of this lately. In the middle of a very lazy day, a friend and I jokingly said, "God gave us life, and THIS is what we choose to do with it?" ... even though we were laughing, I haven't been able to stop thinking about that since.
God designed each of us perfectly. HE MAKES NO MISTAKES. He made each of us EXACTLY how He wants us. Psalm 134:14 says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
No matter what you are going through, no matter how hard it may seem, God is always working. And the only one who can bring you through the toughest times is the one who created it all and knows exactly what's going to happen.
5 years ago, today, four friends that I've known since Kindergarten were killed in a car accident. Every time I think about this, It reminds me how fragile life really is. God has a plan, but thats so hard to remember when things like that happen. They were only 17 years old. They had no idea this was coming. When they all woke up that morning, they did not think they were each going to take their last breaths that day.
I know we've all heard this so many times, but events like this make it a reality: We HAVE to live each day as if its the last
and LOVE people as if you'll never get to love them again.
As much as I believe this with all my heart, I also do not think we should be living in fear of dying. A quote I heard once completely transformed how I live my life-
"We are invincible until God has completed his work in us."
I do not think God is finished with me yet. I think he has a plan beyond what I can imagine. I think God is far from finished with my life. And until He is finished... yes, I will cry. Yes, I'll be hurt...but there is nothing and no one who can take away my life until God's plan for my life is complete.
If your life is in God hands, you are allowing Him to take full control. And if HE has full control, obviously He is going to use that life for the good of His kingdom. God is good. He works for Good.
So, dont take any day for granted.
Remember...that each day is a gift.
Understand...that this life is not about us. This life is about bringing glory to God.
See... how God blesses you each and every day. and
Know...that the God of the Universe has a plan specifically for your
life...if you'll just let him have it.
He loves You...He has a plan...
...and its a good plan.
