I’ve found myself overwhelmed recently with the busyness of my schedule. I keep thinking its going to slow down and it never does. Rather than continuing to sink and hope it gets better, I've decided to tackle the problem head first and figure out how to live effectively and joyfully in the midst of the busyness. This is a follow up to the blog I posted a few months ago, Infinitely Important of Insignificant . I definitely do not have it all figured out, but here are some practical ways I am working on prioritizing my faith and finding rest.  I hope this helps anyone else who is feeling as overwhelmed as I am feeling. “We never grow closer to God when we just live life. Colossians 3:12-15

I LOVE my new job. I love what im doing and the people im working with. Everyone here is so Christ-minded and that truly shows in how this school operates. Every morning, one of the spiritual life people sends out a Daily Scripture. Today's hit me a little more than usual. I think this verse truly shows how we are supposed to live. My goal today is to find ways to live out each of the traits described in this verse: "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness , and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues, put on Love , which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Chrsit rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Here's my heart... Part 2

As the ball dropped to close out 2018 and usher in a new year, I stood in a room full of people with my face buried in my husband’s chest sobbing tears that had been triggered by the tiniest detail…. The glass of champagne in my hand was supposed to be Martinelli’s. I wasn’t supposed to be able to drink champagne. Somehow, that glass of champagne flooded me with the memory from December 7, just a few weeks earlier. In a matter of seconds on that day, 2018 turned from the best year ever to the worst.  As you know from my previous blog post, “Here it is…. My heart,” God spent the very beginning of 2018 asking me on a boat on the Sea of Galilee if I wanted my best for us or His best for us. Upon responding that I wanted His best for us, He spent the rest of 2018 reshaping my definition of good to be more aligned with His definition of good.
